Have 2023 Winnebago Micro Minnie 2108 DS damaged by recent wisconsin storms/ wish to prevent in future. Would much appreciate any advice on following:
1] Is it true leaving 2108DS uncovered in wisconsin sun all year can cause discoloration and severe damage to rubber, roof, sealant etc?
2] IS there any truth to assertion that an 82 year old like myself recovering from 3 stomach surgeries and having recently
undergone iliostomy reversal surgery should not attempt to place an RV cover on his Rv, even with the help of a similar infirm friend?
3] Are there any RV Protection Covers [ probably steelsupported] which can be purchased and installed for $3-4K?

Yes, yes, and likely not, but there are lots of things that might change that answer.
That comes from personal experience at near the same age but better condition!
One might note that I no longer have an RV!
I have to admit that our time has likely passed for doing some things we wish we had done more of when we were young!
That train has left the station and not coming back!

Hi Tom,
Perhaps purchasing a permanent drive-in RV port and wheel covers? On Amazon, it would cost about $2,200 + $21 = $2,221, plus the cost for somebody to install it for you.

Morich -thank you! But hope springs eternal. Seriously I stopped climbing ladders at age 65 and advise all my friends to do the same.

Eagle 5-thanks/ will look into Amazon. Ports I have seen elsewhere have fabric to which would not withstand heavy branches/ or
or are in 6-7 K plus install. But appreciate lead and will pursue.
Best to both.

where to keep it and how to protect it from so many different hazards can eventually just make a person quit and that is pretty well where we have gotten to at this point. Lots of small things drive the different decisions on how and what to do.
We had such bad experiences in our last few trips going through the South and into Florida that we decided it was just not worth the effort and the drama we got into during Covid travel. Now the remaining "attitude" just drives us into not considering putting ourselves in that position during travel. Local law across that stretch was not one we wanted to deal with, so stopped and have been trying various travels where we don't deal with the local thinking as much.
Covid travel and remaining attitudes combine with the effort it takes to keep and maintain an RV, have finally just put us out of the game when we look at our reduced willingness to put out the effort!
While we have been betwen RV, we have now found a better use for the parking space and looking around where we might logically store an RV off site is not good.
The last time we went to look over a site to store, the police were there taking reports and looking for evidence of the damage and breakins! Just did not seem like what we wanted to pay to have!
