Problems

I have 2018 2106DS. Purchased in December 2018. This is my first camper. I have used it 5 times. I have had these problems:
1. Water heater leaking. Repaired
2.Doors to storage compartment leaking. Repaired
3. Toilet had an internal leak. Water was accumulating in an open area were it goes together. Replaced toilet at a cost of $198.
4. Fresh water tank was filling up when hooked to city water outlet. Had to replace water pump.
5. Refrigerator will not work on propane. Not repaired yet.
6. No sealant around part of shower at top. Not repaired.
7. Slide out leaking. Not repaired.
Dealer can't get to it before Dec 31st.

Are these normal problems on a new Winnebago?

I hope all this was covered under warranty. I've never purchased a new Winnebago but I have purchased a new Nash TT before and only had one problem (with the front edge of the roof). I'd say any one or two of these could be considered normal but all of them seems excessive to me and the dealer's timeline is terrible but probably not unusual.

I had to pay for the toilet $198. Got tired of the run around. Dometic said the problem with the 300 toilet was corrected a couple years ago. I replaced it with the 310. It takes at least a month for dealer to look at it. It smelled like someone peed in the floor and it wouldn't go away. I removed it and purchased another toilet and installed it. Problem gone.

Wow, I had no idea that you'd be required to deal with Dometic, I would have assumed that Winnebago would take care of it under their warranty.

Make sure you do something to protect your trailer from the leaking slide. Gorilla tape is one option. Another, that I've used for temporary leak repairs is Nashua Extreme Weather HVAC Foil Tape:

The advantage of it is that its adhesive isn't as hard to remove as Gorilla Tape's.
However, it's tensile strength is less.

Well, any new RV can have issues, but I’d say you’ve got more than usual.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking your TT is like a car and you’re stuck with one dealer. Call Winnebago, complain. Find another dealer. Get Winnebago to approve an independent repair place or person.

Don’t let your dealer ruin your time with your TT.

I see you’re in Virginia. If Camping World is your dealer, find another ASAP. There are a number around the state.

I vote for a Winnebago-approved independent repair place. All in all, I think you'll get better service. Service will be their #1 priority, not sales.

Dont know where it is leaking. It's wet behind the couch. Looks like black mold in the corner . The black in the corner is how i noticed it. It is damp when you touch it. Going to get a tarp and cover it.
