Preparing to Buy a Used Micro Minnie 2108DS

My wife and I have been looking at the 2108 DS and I'm currently gathering information regarding the purchase. We will be buying a used unit and towing it with my wife's 2017 Tacoma pickup. I understand I'll have to have a sway bar installed on the truck.
I am enjoying seeing all of the different hacks people are using, very helpful.

I have the 2108FBS, towing with a Grand Cherokee Hemi V8. Luv the queen walk-around bed. Don’t have to make up the bed and fold it up every day , u may want to consider that…
Best mod was the Missmin shower valve replacement. The OEM one I would waste a ton of water trying to get the temperature right, getting Calderon the process. The Missmin is temperature regulating, so it maintains the point you set it at on one side, and on/off flow control on the other. Only down side I see is that it is best to remove the core (one set screw) when winterizing. Message me for full mod list!

We have the Micro Minnie FRB2000 and love it. No slides, walk around bed, full size fridge and tons of storage. We pull with a 4Runner. I got the Andersen weight distribution hitch and a Redarc brake controller. Those two things make all the difference in towing.

I would suggest you look at the Andersen WDH. It is both a sway and WDH in one. So much easieer to use and much lighter than those heavy bars. I have a 2108Ds and have been towing it with a Ford Ranger for 3 years with the Andersen and have no issues

As someone who thought that their tundra was going to be adequate for towing a 25 ft trailer and then destroyed both the truck and the trailer in a rollover crash caused by sway, I want you to understand that even a trailer that small is going to be a lot for that truck to handle. If you run into any kind of Hill at all that truck is really going to struggle to tow that thing up a hill. And if you get into a sway situation there's nothing your truck is going to be able to do to arrest that sway. Now, I live in Colorado and I tow in the mountains a lot and so if you're on flatland somewhere this isn't as big of a deal. But the sway that caused my wreck was a direct result of trying to pass a slower semi, and the sway caused by the air buffeting against the trailer very quickly overwhelmed the weight of the truck and dragged it around into a 180 and then we went off the side of the highway tumbling. I don't want anyone to have to go through what I went through. Please make sure that you do absolutely everything you can to make sure that the towing setup is perfect and the weight distribution in the trailer is perfect and that you have an adequate suspension for towing in that tacoma. I would also look into a gyro/based anti-sway brake controller (tuson sway control)... It's an automatic system that mounts on your trailer and automatically applies left or right brakes on the trailer when it detects sway. It's not that expensive and it gives me peace of mind. And please consider getting at least a half ton pickup to tow that trailer, you will really feel the difference.

I have a 2021, 2108 TBS. Consider total weight capacity and no more than 75-80% of your trucks capacity when considering a trailer. That Andersen WDH is great and works well, but i needed to add Timbren helper springs to my 2014 Tundra to assist with porpoising. Other mods for me, we took two well made standard twin mattress and made it into a full time king. It is very comfortable now. Standard mattresses that come with it are horrible. We also added a china toilet, upgraded the faucets, and removed the TV. We have the sofa, but sometimes wish I had the dinette. All in all the selling point was a big shower. So needless to say you’ll make some changes, but this is a great camper.

I bought a 1821fb micro mini last year. Have been towing it with my colorado with the baby duramax. I use the camco ez lift r3 recurve hitch. Check it out trailer towing rock solid and the truck rides and handles great. Also the anti sway is adjustable.

My wife and I purchased a 2025 flx2108ds and have been towing it with a 2021 Toyota Highlander with a tow package. Door sticker shows GVRW of 5900 lbs. We use a Blue Ox WDH with sway control. I added trailer brakes that work great. We traveled 8,000 miles last year starting from Northern Idaho through Montana, then to Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, California, Oregon, then back to Couer d'alene Idaho. Never had any problems with sway. Probably because I don't drive faster than 60-65 mph. Have fun with your new to you RV.
