Pre-Start Checklist for a 2018 Vista 31BE

Has anyone developed a pilot type pre-start checklist? One that you go down before firing up the engine and pulling out. Have one for my camper that saved a lot of headaches. The Vista has so many other features that must be in a particular position before the vehicle can be put in drive. Being new to this vehicle it would help for getting started.

Thanks Eagle5. Good start for me. The previous owner had all the various switch position requirements in his head and I know these checklists work better. I will combine yours with my camper checklist as the starting point.

Here is the checklists I use for Trailer Setup, and then for leaving the Secure Inside List andn the Secure Outside List. I have laminated each, the setup and outside list are velcroed on the hatch door where I store the landline. The inside list is at the door, helpss my wife pick away at things while I get the outside ready. Pretty straight forward, I shortened by reducing my "hobby" footprint on the list. They now have their own lists with the motorhome transition.

Hi David,
Your list looks great. The only question I have is from this item:

• AIR VENTS OPEN/CLOSED AS NEEDED

If I were to leave the roof vent open on the Eagle5, the wind pressure would make it buffet and vibrate.

My camper is a toy hauler. There are additional side vents that can be opened to face forward or backwards. One on each side but at opposite ends of the main room. Works great to air out but haven’t had any issues with wind messing up anything.
