My wife and I left Idaho mid-January in our F350 6.7L towing our 2108DS, and the first stop was Florida to visit her Dad. Along the way and before departure I made a few more changes.

Before leaving, I added another towel rack above the existing one in the bathroom, added a mesh storage pouch to the right of the tv for remote controls, added a mesh pouch on the back of the bathroom pocket door, and mesh pouches on both side of the Murphy bed. I also added hooks for keys inside the door to the left. Adding a silverware drawer in the cabinet under the TV was challenging because I didn't want to see any screw heads from the outside. So I ran notched support pieces of wood on either side of the drawer I made making sure to leave the right amount of room for the slides. I also used a wood appearing covering with an adhesive back to get a close match to the other wood overlay. Oh, I also added a paper tower holder that is always under tension so it doesn't unroll going down the road, and an indoor/outdoor thermometer.

After a few days on the road staying in RV parks, I found that running my 115v power from the inverter wasteful and putting unnecessary additional wear and tear on the inverter. So, I ordered a 30A double pole switch (overkill) to create a manual buss transfer. The switch has the center position with no connection. So when switching from one power source to another, there is no way the two power sources will "meet" each other. Glad I left the wire from the breaker intact. This gave me a shore power source to the switch, and the inverter power was present too along with the wire that goes to all the inverter prepped outlets. The sharpie label on the switch plate is crude, but you get the point.....boondocking I put the switch in the inverter position, and in an RV park I put it in the shore power position.

as for the support idea you used in the cutlery drawer, I will do the same in the tall bath cabinet (did in prior 2106) to mount wire shelves without putting screws in from the stove side.

Tried to picture where you mounted the paper towel holder and thermometer? The wood grained area to the left of the thermometer is throwing me off.

The paper towel holder is under the cabinet that’s over the sink. In the pic, the opening to the left of the thermometer is the door.

I also added a shelf in the cabinet over the sink. Man that made a huge difference! I’ll post a pic of that when I get back to the trailer.

Good Job.

I have used this type rack for in the cupboard above the sink, except for the expandable ones

We're not big fans of the wire shelves since smaller things tend to tip over on them. I did it with wood before we left, but I didn't cover it with the wood grain covering yet. Made the height just right for the things we wanted on the bottom and top. A lot more efficient storage than the vast open storage.

Luv the second towel rack! I bought a matching towel bar from WBGO but got cold feet on mounting with screws… how long were the screws you used for the upper bar?
Was there anything behind the wall board to screw into?
It seems from the dwgs I got there isn’t anything there…
Thx Bill!

Luv the shelf added above the sink cabinet!
My shelf in the large closet in bath broke from storing my 2nd portable solar panel there and will have to add some strips to either hot melt or glue to the walls.
Maybe some vertical strips to support off the floor as well?
Anyone with ideas to strengthen that shelf? Really don’t wanna run screws thru the back wall and out the exterior wall!

I wanted alignment centered on the lower, so if the screw didn’t catch anything strong enough for me, then I added an anchor in the wall. I think I only used 1inch screws

I’m shy about depending too much on the thin paneling alone for something heavy. So, I’ll run a 1”x1” vertical support in the corners like I did for the shelf above the sink. You might try something similar if that works for what you are trying to do in the closet.

Yes, that is my plan, maybe one mid support each side as well…
Thx! Bill
