2108DS 2018 Micro Minnie power awning quit working this past weekend. need help troubleshooting. hard rain storm, had awning out about 4' and when I rolled it in, lots of water came off, including a puddle on the inside floor below tongue side of awning mount. next morning tried to roll it out and blew fuse. checked to determine it is NOT a mechanical bind (doesn't appear to be) replaced fuse and each time when I try to roll it out, the pilot lamp switch and some other interior lights dim out a bit, and no awning movement. tonight the 2nd fuse blew.

I have searched owner's manual and Winnebago web sight, and cannot find any technical information about the power awning. I'm guessing the motor got wet and shorted out and is fried, but I can't find any trouble shooting info, or any way to research the problem further.

thoughts and recommendations welcome, along with technical info please. Thank you all!

Hi KGs2108DS,
I wish we had good trailer Owner's Manuals, but sadly we do not. From what you describe, it sure does sound like the Motor bit the big one. If you could unplug the motor and see if then the fuse doesn't blow, you will know that the motor is bad.
Another question is how did the water get into the motor; it seems like that should not happen.

I discovered last week I have a similar problem. When I tried to deploy the awning the 15 amp fuse blew. I replaced the fuse and it blew again. I called my RV repair shop and asked what I should do. They said bring it in. I like you experienced some really heavy rain and am wondering if the water got into the motor and shorted it out. I have an appointment to take the camper in next week. I will let you know what the service guys say is the problem. Safe journeys.
