Polyvinyl Hose Leak on 2020 Winnebago Micro Minnie 1708FB

My 2020 Winnebago Micro Minnie 1708FB recently developed a water leak. As shown in the photo, the hot-water polyvinyl hose has ballooned near one end and also sprung a leak in the middle of the hose.

While researching repair options, I've come across numerous videos and discussions recommending against replacing it with the same type of polyvinyl hose that was factory installed. Many RV owners suggest converting to PEX tubing, citing improved durability and reliability. I've also read that the polyvinyl hose may not secure as well to standard PEX fittings and connections, which can contribute to future leaks.

At this point, I'm trying to determine the best repair approach:

Option A: Replace only the failed hot-water hose with the same type of polyvinyl hose.

Option B: Replace both the hot- and cold-water polyvinyl hoses with PEX tubing to help prevent future failures and improve long-term reliability.

One challenge is the limited working space. There isn't much room to make modifications, especially when trying to use an iCrimp PEX clamp tool in such a confined area.

For those who have dealt with this issue, what would you recommend? Has anyone converted these factory-installed polyvinyl lines to PEX in a Micro Minnie or similar RV?

Converted lots of them in many different units. That stuff is horrible. If the length is not excessive I replace them with faucet supply lines, the stainless kind. They come with 1/2 NPT female connectors on both ends.

They also have a superior rubber washer in them.....
