I know what Cummins says but what are owners actually doing about oil change Frequency? With the cost of a good oil doubling how important is the 12 month oil change when the coach (2011 Tour with 450 Cummins) is driven every month, stored inside and winters in Florida and only 8,000 miles put on it since last oil change (Valvoline Blue Synthetic).

I am not a mechanic in fact far from it. I average about 5000 miles a year from May to Sept. So not being a mechanic I take my coach in every year for not only oil change for engine but for the generator. While the folks have the coach on a lift they also are able to check all of the chassis parts for wear and tear along with greasing the necessary parts and new fuel filters.

For me this annual cost (this year just under 1,000) is the first line of defense against major break downs. I would rather bitch about spending the 1,000 yesterday instead of being on the road with a break down that may have been obverted with yearly oil change/inspection.

Ours is changed every year while averaging 8K / year traveling throughout the U.S. and wintered in Florida. Now at 12 years and 95K miles there's never been an issue with contaminants or moisture.

Annually but at the end of the driving season.......... not in May...
This years was close to $2300 with new chassis batteries and an air leak fix.
