Hi all our 2014 leveling control went out last week and we needed a fix. We checked all over the county for a new and used unit. Did the research and spoke with M&M electronics and they said part Lippert 2020003067 will work.
Here is the whole story.
Well I got a call from M&M electronics and said that they had a winne owner send them a bad controller 289252 and a rear sensor and a new controller 2020003067 and they tested multiple functions and found that the NEW controller WILL work plug and play. Your new one will need to be Zero Calibrated and you DO NOT use the rear sensor. Just don’t plug it in as there is no 3 pin plug for it. I spoke with Chris for almost an hour and was hopeful as it worked for his other customers I just purchased one online I and should have it today 9/10/25
I was going to purchase a used old 289252 and looked for days and found one and it was already sold so I’m going to try this. BTW M&M said Lippert should be telling customers this product will work. Also I spoke with someone at Lippert and did get conformation that another part for a Thor part # is an exact replacement with the only function issue is the light on the steering column that lights for JACKS DOWN will not work. If that’s the only issue it is still available to purchase from them new or research a used one. I’m only posting this now because we live in our 38q and our controller went out and we’re at a stand still. I will follow up as soon as I try the new 2020003067 controller
FOLLOW UP 9/11/2025 ON NEW leveling CONTROLLER 2020003067
Well I tried to zero calibrate the old 289252 no joy it’s shot! I installed the new 2020003067 it was easy, screwed it in exactly where the old one was and hooked up all plugs except for the rear sensor (it does not work with this new controller) I took the motor coach up the street to a fairly level lot and kept it running. I turned on the leveling unit inside the coach and it was immediately in “Zero Calibration mode” I brought a 4’ level and brought down the front jacks until they hit the ground then I did the same to the rear. I checked for level front to back and made a few adjustments until I was happy then a slight side adjustment. As soon as I was happy with level I hit the enter button and it set the calibration in approximately 10 seconds based on how I wanted ZERO. When it was done it turned off. I did a retraction on the jack and an auto level several times and it worked fine. I drove back to where we were parked and set a couple rubber pads under each jack leg as we were in a soft grassy sandy site. I hit auto level and it did exactly what it was supposed to do and it was done. The light on the steering column did work showing Jacks were down. The only thing I noticed when it was leveling is the lights that normally are blinking at the up down left and right side as it’s leveling weren’t doing that. It just automatically went to what I had set for zero calibration and it was fine. I believe Lipper should be letting people know that this is an option for the obsolete controls that they decided not to continue Manufacturing. And not trying to upsell a $$$$$ complete hydraulic leveling system.
I don’t know if they know this works or not, but they should be letting their customers know that this is a plug-in play fix, except for the fact you can’t use the rear sensor which it did not need anyway there’s a sensor built into the new controller and it works fine. Cost is what you can research on google, eBay, Amazon, e-trailer and so on. I found eBay to be the better price but it’s your choice.
I hope this post helps those out there that are having an issue with this particular controller (289252)
