No heat, gas or electric, 2005 Winnebago Journey 36G

2005 Winnebago Journey 36G No heat.
While the new thermostat did come on and give me heat, I have not had time to actually let it go through the cycles to see if it reacts properly between the gas and electric. I will let you know if i get a chance to do that.
In regards to the reset. I read the instruction sheet over thoroughly on the thermostat that I purchased from Amazon and it did not have any reference to a reset. FYI, i did disconnect my old thermostat from the coach power and let it sit for a few minutes to see if that would reset it before i purchased a new one. It didn't help.
Again, thanks to all of you for your help. I pray you all will have a Merry Christmas.

Hope it works and Christmas greetings back to you!
Reading back through the different postings, I feel we are getting way deep into a growing problem that many areas are finding.
Back in post 35 I found what looked like info on a reset. But then when looking at the pictures you posted in 37, I see there is a problem!
The directions from the net say to rotate the knob? But you have no knobs!
So the info I found is already obsolete but still posted as a solution!

As we get more and more complex electronics and changes come more and more often, is there really going to be a future for DIY repairs?

I'm glad I no longer do much flying as this sort of thing creeps into airplanes. I just watched a show on airline disasters and the problem was that they had a defective main altimeter for the pilot but took off anyway. The problem was that their plane was too old by a few years to get the update for the program that told the auto pilot not to use the main altimeter.
The result was the autopilot cut the power at a couple hundred feet high and a mile short of the runway.
My last update on the Honda Pilot added a tach reading above the speedometer. I wonder what I'm supposed to do with that on an automatic transmission?

Never trust the gizmos if we don't fully understand them? We may never know when there is a software update!
