Hey fellow Rv-ers,
Recently purchased a 1986 Class C WM and I've gutted the unit with the intent to remodel the inside to be more user friendly.
I am currently working on the above cab area which was leaking. I have removed the window and noticed the front has a about a 3/4 to 1" bow outward. I am going to reinforce this area with a second board. I will be clamping and gluing the board.
My question is if this bow is by design (which means I will create an allowance for it) or if it has done this over time (in which case I could try and bring it back in a bit).
Hopefully somebody out there has some insight. Appreciate any help.
Thanks
Jeff

Hi Jeff,
When I was a kid, the Winnebagos all had straight lines. They were so darned straight, I would call them Winneboxos. The Classic Class Cs have always been built with straight lines, in an effort to keep the costs down, and for strength as well. Please review the Brochure for 1986 Minnie Winnies, and you will see just how straight straight can be.
Caress the lack of curvaceousness. See the stealthy in straight. Live the life of linearity. Trust the uniformity of True. It is good for you!
