My husband and I are very excited and nervous to become travel trailer owners. Right now we are in the middle of a deal for a Micro Mini 2108ds. What I am most concerned about is if our car will be able to handle the weight. I looked around the internet to try to understand how to calculate this. I am usually good with numbers/math but I am so confused by everything I read. I would really appreciate any help.
Here is what I know:
My Chevy Traverse with towing package can tow 5000 lbs. Its curb weight is 4362 lbs. Its GVWR is 6160.
The 2108DS dry weight is 3900 and GVWR is 7000.
I am thinking that my SUV can't handle to 2108ds. Thoughts?
