We have a 2011 Winnebago 42QD tour. The washer/dryer is a Splendide Ariston. They have quite a bit of use and we are thinking to replace them. Would anyone have thoughts on best brand or models to buy. We don't need lots of bells and whistles, but want to buy for higher quality and for durability. Thx!

From all I hear on other forums, the Splendides are still the best option.

There are some RVs that came with Whirlpool W/D but there seem to have been LOTs of circuit board failures in those units. And, folks replaced the Whirlpools with the Splendides.

There are a few expensive European models used the mega motor coaches, i.e. Fisher-Paykel and Miele. But I don't know much about them.

PS. Our Adventurer came with the same Splendids that you have and my wife loves them. We've had zero issues in 7+ years.

There is one way to improve on a Splendide combo unit, install separate washer and dryer. FWIW, I think Splendide/Westland Sales has the best support and parts of all portable clothes washers/dryers.
I remember when our Splendide handle broke, I called Westland Sales and the man I spoke with talked me through how to open the door, helped me order the replacement, asked where we were staying and how long. The overnighted the new parts.

We had to replace our washer last year. I found the LG model WM1455HWA as a good replacement. We still have the Splendide dryer. The block on the right ceiling, over the dryer, needs to be removed for ease of installing over this new machine. It is a bit taller. Also I had to remove the laundry door frame. That was a challenge. The right hand frame is screwed in from the back of the closet wall frame. I had to cut the screws. I reattached it with 8T (small head) furniture screws. We love the new LG washer. It is much more quiet and shakes much less than the old Splendide.
I found this on ebay for you to consider: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1964174896...=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&ufes_redirect=true
Happy trails,

I have a 2004 Journey that still has the orignal Splendide combo. It's got some issues, but my main complaint is there is no lint clean out, so the clothes look exactly the same as when I put them in. Do they make a ventless combo with a lint clean out?
