New View Owner Curious about Tire Pressure

Hello Winnie Community,
For so many reasons, it's great to be here. So, I'm heading out on my first trip with the new Winnebago View 24G, and see that the current tire pressure is around 55-60 psi, but the maximum noted on the tires says 80 psi. I'm curious what the community's thoughts are on tire pressure? Maximum vs. other?

Also, having never filled up dually tires before, I was unprepared for the reverse direction air nozzle on the outside back tires. None of my local gas stations' air service providers have air delivery hoses that accommodate this reverse nozzle. Is filling my tires going to be something I should go to a truck stop for?'

Curious if it's okay amongst the trucker community to see the RV community using truck stops?

Follow Winnebago's recommendations posted on the driver's door. If you want, add 5 psi extra as a "safety margin" but the recommended pressures are correct.

Time to replace your rubber valve stems with Borg Dually Valve Stems. These are specially made for Sprinter wheels and are all metal.
A set of six will run you about $140 + installation.

As long as you aren't blocking access to anything and don't forget that the truckers are working and you are not, you are welcome.
However, there is virtually nothing on your View/Navion that you need from the truck side of a truck stop.

Welcome! LoveLabs has it covered. Use the placard. No higher. Install Dually Valves, at least on the duals. Truck stop advice is spot on. (Note: truck stops have HIGH FLOW diesel pumps. You want to be very cautious when using them to avoid a spill.)


The PSI noted on the tire's side wall is the NEVER (EVER) EXCEED pressure. The point is the placard PSI has been determined to be adequate for the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of a 3500 series Sprinter. In this case: 11,030 lbs, unless otherwise specified on the placard.
