New to us 2022 Spirit 22M and first trip out the shower skylight leaked ...rather poured into the bathroom! Wouldn't stop raining and we ended up moving it to a shop and it is still there. I believe they are replacing the dome with an ICON one and we have to choose the color....all other vents etc are black so because its new to us I want to keep things uniform. It's been a bit of a pain as they installed one and then the inner liner wouldn't fit as the one they installed was 18" x 24" x 4" round corners whereas ours is 4 3/4' squarish corners so they are now looking at a 5". Considering either a smoke or dark smoke tint. I remember the original cover being quite dark yet the inside was nice and bright with the white liner but can't compare the old with new. I know the smoke definitely looks to be much lighter/translucent than the original one. Can anyone confirm what color the original cover was??? I think I prefer the dark smoke but am worried about making the bathroom too dark but can relax it the original one was also really dark? I've tried finding pics online of a roof and vents and called every dealer near me and no one can help confirm the original cover color! With the smoke you can clearly see right into the opening and see the styrofoam etc but with the dark smoke you can't see this stuff so I was thinking it would protect things better and also keep out some heat? Or am looking at this wrong? It is our first rv with a skylight and so difficult when I can't view things in person and I am panicking a bit as I can't view a dark smoke cover in person. One dealer contacted Winnebago and the replacement part they are suggesting is white and costly plus high shipping cost to Canada so the ICON is a practical replacement as well as decent quality.

My other concerns is if the water got into the walls etc. and would it have caused mold. The RV person doing the replacement said it looks to have already been resealed so I am thinking they previously had an issue as well. The person we bought from was the first owner.

Hi Adele6,
We also have a concurrent thread here on the same subject:
2022 Minnie Winnie 22M leak around bathroom skylight
With regard to the smoked shower skylight, it really is pretty dark on my 2019, and as you can see in the video below, on the 2025.
I would vote for "dark smoked."
Yes, the Winnebago parts can be pretty expensive, but if you were to mail-order it, I would use:
As far as the correct Winnebago Skylight Part Number, it depends upon the date of manufacture. Looking here:
you can see these parts:
  • 324026-01-CHT = inner Skylight
  • 324027-01-CHT = outer Skylight (through 5-16-2021)
  • 346816-01-CHT = outer Skylight (from 5-17-2021 through 1-15-2023)
  • 352879-01-CHT = outer Skylight (from 1-16-2023 and onward)
    • 138372-01-CHT = corner trim (required by 352879-01-CHT)
Let us know how it goes!

I just replaced mine. Shame on you Winnebago. Cheap polycarbonate glass and solvent based sealant is causing this rash of skylight cracks. Real Lexan polycarbonate is very tough. It can be bent, stomped on and even shot through with bullets. It will not crack. Use the wrong solvent and it becomes brittle.
I found a good replacement source that uses Lexan. EZtops in the great state of Maine.
