Several experienced RVers shared their journeys transitioning to the Winnebago Micro Minnie 2108FBS, highlighting the appeal of its true 7' width for easier towing and garage fit. The original poster, after years of various RV types, chose the 2108FBS for its manageable size and compatibility with a Ford Ranger, especially after finding larger trailers challenging to tow and store. I've lost track of how many different campers we've had over the years. We've owned everything from a tent to a Scamp to a 5th wheel to a class A, and we just bought our first Winnebago, our first brand-new camper, a Micro Minnie 2108FBS. Sadly, we put it in storage the day after we bought it, so we really haven't had a chance to get to know it yet. We really liked our Rockwood Mini-Lite, but when we moved into our current home, my F150 was just too tight a squeeze next to the DW's Escape. So, the F150 went away, loved that truck, and a 2022 Ranger took its spot in the garage...yay! It fits! However, even though the Ranger has plenty of pulling power, seeing around an 8' wide camper, even with tow mirrors, was pretty much impossible. We had almost decided to quit camping and just do motels or cabins. Then some friends invited us to tour the Winnebago factory in Forest City with them. Afterwards we wanted to see some finished campers, so we stopped at the local Winnebago dealer. They only sell motorhomes or camper vans so we gave them a look. Then we looked at the prices. :puke:

We came home and the DW started searching for used travel trailers. We found some we liked, but the used prices were ridiculous! I found some leftover 2025s in Madison, WI, so we went to take a look. We came home with the 2108FBS because it actually measures 7' wide, while some of the ones that claim to be 7' are actually closer to 7'6". It also meets all our needs, we hope.

Anyway, the DW and I have been married for 52 years, have two sons and a daughter, three beautiful granddaughters, and four amazing grandsons. We look forward to spending time in our first new camper next summer!

Hi 30coupe,
The 2108FBS looks perfect to take those seven grandkids on a campout, but maybe not all at once.
Children's children are the crown of old men.
Welcome to the forum.

Thanks! Last summer we camped at Backbone State Park. Our youngest son has a large travel trailer, so his family (3 of the grands) stayed in theirs, the eldest and his DW borrowed a tent and their two daughters drove 15 minutes back home to sleep in their own beds, our daughter and her family stayed in one of the cabins, and Grandma and Grandpa stayed in our Rockwood Mini-Lite 2502S. It worked!

We hope to do more travel and camping this coming summer, most likely without the grands except for a similar outing as the one last summer.

Towed my Micro Minnie 2108 for four years behind my V6 Chevy Colorado. You should do just fine with the Ranger - assuming it's at least a V6 or the turbo charged. Very happy with the 2108 and even happier with the 2225RL that I've had for four years now. Towing that with a 2025 1500 Chevy Silvervado. Best of luck and enjoy your new camper.

We pull our 2024 Micro Minnie FLX all over the western states with our 2023 GMC Canyon AT4. Little turbo-charged engine has no problem.

Congratulations !
I too just purchased a 2025 leftover 2108FBS and had surgery the next day, so it is still at the dealer waiting to be taken home. Thought this was a good time to have some upgrades done so still getting some things added until I can bring it home, hopefully in February. Upgraded both ceiling fans to Remote Maxxfans, added the cameras and more solar panels and lithium batteries and 2000 watt inverter. Doing some propane remote monitoring and automatic changeover if it does not have along with a Levelmate Pro. Considering the change of the outside 120V to one with USBs and a slide out topper. Trying to figure out how to add a small box on the tongue behind the propane to carry a few supplies, etc. but that may be the more difficult problem. It seems like a great floorplan for the size and I like the narrower width for towing in more remote areas.
Hope you guys get out in yours before me and enjoy it as this one may be my last hurrah before resigning myself to motel camping. Again, congratulations !
