Bought a used Winnie it is a tour td40
A 2008 with 70000 miles on it
Did all maintenance on unit
1 all fluids were changed
2 new cooktop installed
3 new fireplace installed
4 cooling system fluid changed and brought up to date
5 6 brand new tires
6 air conditioning checked and ok 👍
After we got on the road ( living in motorhome)
Found electric water heater does not heat on electric/ propane works fine /electric seems to get a little bit warm just barely above cold
Need to get information on how to repair this

All info is helpful and appreciated if you know of anyone to contact that is appreciated just need to know how to contact
Thank you in advance

Welcome and congratulations on a beautiful coach!

Your problem is hard to diagnose via online, but it could be a problem with the electric heating element.

I can think of other issues but they would affect the LP side of things too and not just the electric side.

Your best bet is to hire a mobile RV Tech to come to you for diagnosis and repair. Most campgrounds should have a list of numbers to call.

Hello;; A bit Of Myself. I/we have owned 8 motorhomes, 4 of which were Winnebagos. Entertained at the Grand National from 1993 to 2012 Became Real good friends to John and Louie Hanson. . It is so sad to See how Missmanagement Has Ruined Winnebago. Moving On I have an Ultimate 38 foot now., Had to replace the Heating/Electric Element. The Element can be bought at Lowe's/Home Depot for 1/10 of what the dealers charge. It Is not difficult to change. "Take Your time" you have to Remove it from the Coach..

Rvrepairwoman.com she is awesome! You will need to find your brand of heater for the correct troubleshoot. Don't just throw parts at it. Mine was a burnt out relay. 15$ and a lot of of wiggling to fix. I did cut a panel underneath the compartment for next time for easy access.

Congratulations. Beauty of a coach. I highly recommend that you plan a trip the Freightliner Custom Chassis factory in Gaffney, SC. Call ahead and make an appointment. You can have a full chassis inspection done plus many other services. They have good RV parking/camping and service is top notch. As far as the water heater goes, check the connections in the back of the heater at the heating element. They are difficult to replace so the idea above about getting a mobile RV tech might be the best idea.
