We have been avid RV fans for nearly 30 years. We have enjoyed Winnebago motorhomes for over 20 years, however, this is our first experience with a diesel motorhome. I'm so excited to learn of this forum and the ability to tap into the expertise of those of you who are more experienced. I would like to connect with a Journey owner or two because I already have questions. Some as simple as how do I turn on the external utility light on the passenger side of the coach? I'm sure there will plenty more to follow! :)

Greetings whpilot,
I see on page 7-3 of your Owner's Manual this statement:
UTILITY LIGHT
A light is located on the sidewall to illuminate the utility hook-up area when needed.
The switch is located in the water service center compartment.
Welcome to the forum.

@Eagle5 Thanks for the answer. I found that one and it does turn on a service light on the driver's side above the wet bay. Maybe it turns on the one on the other side of the coach too?! Maybe I better check the lamp to see if it is burned out  Thanks again!

Perhaps the correct idea but the wrong side? This is a bit from the online info on wiring:
https://www.winnebago.com/Files/Files/Winnebago/Resources/Diagram/2016/000210432.pdf

Going down to the last page we get a drawing of the Firefly system! But I'm missing seeing a small point! Like where IS this light? Maybe you can look and compare the drawing and what you see?
Click this snip or go direct for the big picture?

The whole wiring set is here:

Thanks for the diagrams. Light 19 corresponds to the basement compartment lights and they all work with the switch you pointed out. The light in question for me at the aft end of the passenger full wall slide (on the outside wall just below the awning) is not on the wiring diagram that I can see. Again, maybe I will check the lamp itself. It may be blown and is supposed to illuminate with the other utility lights as switch 21. Thanks again for you help and your time!

welcome also a newcomer, wow what a big beautiful winnebago you have and great to have a diesel, have loads of fun. BTW is whpilot for air force one?

Nope - only a dream

Not Air Force One. (I wish!) Have flown for many years..now time to navigate the highways! ;)Thanks for the note and best wishes.

I think I see the light you mean on the parts drawing but not on the installation drawings where we should see how the wire gets there!
Parts, I see two lights, one on each side as we are looking through from passenger side!

My guess might be that it is a bulb problem but not actually seeing much help to back that idea!
They all seem to be called "porch" and the switch labeled "porch"? Maybe that tells you something that is not at all clear on these drawings. I see NO wires to these lights and I'm pretty sure that is not true!

Good luck on the bug hunt!

Awesome! At least now I know it's a legitimate Winnebago-installed item!:) Must be a lamp issue and wired to the other utility lights for switching. I'll check it out tomorrow. Thanks again for your assistance!
