Hello Everyone!
My wife have been dreaming about purchasing a motorhome for many years. We have had a Jayco travel trailer since early 2014 and have thoroughly enjoyed it. This weekend we drove from Harford County Maryland to Huntsville Alabama to pick up a 2016 Itasca Solei 38R. Driving it home was awesome! It was my first time driving a diesel pusher and I absolutely love it. This was a purchase that people smarter than I probably would not have made
. My wife and I just did not want to wait until our daughter was out of the house to start making some great memories. This is just good motivation to start making more money .
I did a lot of research before picking up the unit and spent about 5 hours going through it with a fine tooth comb. The dealership spent the whole next day fixing the issues that I found before I handed over the check. I think the mechanics and salesmen had a party when we finally left lol.
With that said, I am looking for some good information from experienced people. I spent today reading all of the owners manuals and creating inspection guides. Do you have any suggestions for a newb like me for the care and maintenance? What are some great add on's that make traveling in this thing even better? How about some pitfalls that I should avoid? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
