New Slide System in Forza/Solei?

I have been researching the Forza/Solei coaches for a while and one thing I was leery of was the Schwintek slide system on the FW slide on the 38R floorplan. I know that Winnebago hasn't had the many issues that Thor did with the Palazzo but it still bothered me a bit. Then I noticed on a couple of later 2015 Soleis on RV Trader that the slide rails were different from the standard Schwintek design. See the coach on the right on the attached photo. After looking around a bit it looks to me like they may be this:

In Wall Slide System - Power Gear

I believe that all these companies are part of the same conglomerate (Lippert, Schwintek, PowerGear, Kwikee) and when I looked at the Schwintek website I saw the SlimRack system which looks very similar to the PowerGear in-wall slide system. I assume they are the same thing?

In-Wall® Slide-Out

Apparently the old system is now considered inadequate for larger slides based on their marketing info. I was also wondering if anyone has a coach with the newer system or if anyone knows anything additional about it? I wonder if it is possible to retrofit to the newer system? Its seems like Winnebago has addressed most of the issues that people were having with the early models.

Yup, they changed to the Power Gear In-Wall Slide system. They told me it was a flying line change so no specific build date. That's the main reason I haven't bought one yet. I'm slowly starting to see these on dealers website pictures.

Here's the link the gave me:

Here's a close-up of one I saw locally on a Forza 36G. Notice that it is not attached flush to the wall of the slide.

Great information and close up. I may see what kind of deal my local dealer will do if I order one. It certainly looks more robust than the Schwintek. I would think that the production cost is similar.

rreichar, this info is from the parts catalog.
34T and 38R changed to new slide system on 11-24-2014
36G used new slide system at job 1
peterson, where are you seeing 2016 Forza/Solei's for less than 75% MSRP?

Jerry, where did you buy from? That sounds like an incredible deal!

I bought from Lichtsinn Motors in Forest City, IA even though I live in California. Will be flying there to pick it up just in time for the Winnebago Grand National Rally in July. Winnebago, Lichtsinn and GNR all in the same city.

However, Mr. Peterson above thinks you can but a larger home (40' vs 38') for less money - wonder where he is coming from. By the way, I am talking about a factory custom ordered coach, rather than taking whatever the dealer has on the lot he wants to dump for a cheap price.:whistling:

They have a great rep and I didn't realize they were so competitive on pricing. They will definitely be on my short list when I upgrade! Thanks for sharing your experience!
