Tom & Chrissy here in Babcock Ranch, FL. We retired 2 years ago at 55 and just picked up a super clean 2014 Adventurer 38 with a king bed and a stacked washer/dryer. Installed a couple ring cams and an internet 5G gateway. Need ideas on a new dash head unit that will support car play, the rear cam and the blind spot cams. I have a blue ox tow system with a brake buddy to pull our 1999 Jeep TJ. We're still getting everything setup for our first trip to the Keys this winter. We'll be traveling with our two girls...a black mouth cur and a pittie. Looking forward to seeing all the posts, pics and ideas in the forum. Rgds...

Hi and welcome.

Looking at your Operators Manual online it appears you have a Jensen infotainment system installed. You should know that Winnebago changes systems all the time and no one here will have any idea of what system you have and the vast majority of owners will have never changed out their system.

So, it is possible that someone will be able to give you suggestions of what you can buy, but very unlikely.

Your best bet is to work with a car audio installer. They can look at your existing system and make suggestions of what will fit and what will work. Some folks have had success using Crutchfield but you’ll need to be able to describe your current system’s model number and any addons that were installed.

In short, you are basically on your own with this task. Like so very many things with RVs they are not like cars and upgrades and changes are not clear cut.

Agree with above as I find RV as as varied as the normal car we buy. They all have different options ordered when new and then folks maty have changed things as they felt needed. So first step for new owners is finding WHAT they have!
Do you have the big bag of info and is the sheet listing the options in that bag? That is often very important when it comes to making any repairs or changes as we first need to know what we have to look at what is practical to change!
When repairs or changes come around, it is going to be a big leap forward if you can say what brand and model of things you have. Unlike a car, the parts of an RV are really more a collection of things that other folks have built!
Every RV may be different, just as a furnished house has different items inside.
Step one to repair on something like the frig is to find which frig. Brand, model and options will give you a start just like when you call for repair of a frig at home.

I recommend being proactive as a way to cut the drama when something does need attention. Find that info and keep a file of it handy. Having more info before the crisis is one way to reduce the stress!
Something as simple as what year the chassis items were built versus the year of the RV can be different!
Label near the drivers side is a good place for lots of that info.

Getting used to RV is far more difficult than getting used to a new home as things are so more more varied from what we are used to doing.
Just the simple act of taking care of the batteries to avoid running them down can be very tricky!
My advise to new users? Watch those batteries to avoid running them down and possibly ruining the first set.

Enjoy but stay alert and expect the unexpected!
