Just new to the forum and to the site. We bought a very nice 2017 1706 FB
So it is small but so well built we were impressed compared to other small campers. I am thinking about some nice updates and just any good advice for being new to camping and what we will need to buy or change to make it less
Frustrating the first time out this spring.

HI and WELCOME!

Here's the thing... until you start using your TT you will have a difficult time knowing what all you need. I always advise folks to take the TT to a campground near your home. The closer the better because you may find yourself needing to run home to pick up stuff you forgot to take with you.

Like any learning curve, the more times you use your MM TT the less "frustrating" it will be.

Wapakoneta KOA opens March 10th. So, that might be a good time (weather depending) to give it a go.

The list of things you'll need is both basic and longish. But don't buy too much stuff until you learn if it's something you'll really need. On Forums you'll be told you can't possibly go out camping without some "$200 DoHickey" that everyone says is a must have. Take is slow and a step at a time.

But get out there!

That was very good advice, but...., let me offer a few minimal cost "gadgets" that are almost essential, particularly for rustic, dry camping:

Water Bandit- lets you hook up to almost any spigot, threads or not to fill your tank: https://www.amazon.com/Camco-22484-...1585231416&sprefix=water+thief,aps,191&sr=8-6

15A to 30A power adapter, lets you plug in to available 15A recepticle: https://www.amazon.com/Epicord-Dogb...9Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=

Leveling ramps. This is a ramp and another type is interlocking blocks. I have found that the ramp works well 95% of the time. Place in back of your low side wheels and back up, then put a chock in front and back of the front wheel once you get to the right height.

Chock: https://www.amazon.com/Camco-44414-...motive&sprefix=rv+bloc,automotive,189&sr=1-10

For RV park camping with full hookups, a longer waste hose with leveling supports. This page has examples of both: https://www.amazon.com/s?crid=194W7...os,automotive,246&url=search-alias=automotive

Thank you so much for the great advice. I did get some of the stuff you mentioned and will look into
The other things also. I have to say this forum is a great place for advice and information thanks for all the help.
