My husband and I have a 27k Cambria. It is new to us 2013 and we are working out the little problems. My 1st question is... We had to change the 2 6 volt batteries for the house. Seems like it was wired in parallel to make 6 volts. Is there a reason for this? Can it be wired in a series to make 12 volts?

You must be mistaken, the RV is a 12vdc system.

Two 6v batteries in series - first battery’s positive wired to the next battery’s negative post and then the other two posts wired in opposite - this makes 12v. Two 12v batteries wired positive to positive and negative to negative is parallel wiring and this keeps the two at 12v but doubles their amp hours.

If your RV had two 6v batteries it had to be wired in series.
