We are planning to buy a 2024 Journey 34n next week. It's " new" never sold, priced at $250k. I found another for $265k but he wouldn't lower the price. Can anyone tell me how well theirs is working, driving. Mine will not have a factory warranty, only a good sam extended. Suggestions or advice? We're trading our truck and fifth wheel plus cash.

Our Journey is 13 years old now but only has about 20,000 miles on it, so pretty new. (It was stored for years due to the last owners poor health). It's our second Journey is both have been solid units and very comfortable to drive and live in. Good luck with your new toy.

Greetings whitebus91,
I do not believe that if your Journey has been sitting on a dealer lot for one or two years, that the warrantee would expire. I believe warranties begin when you buy it:
and Google AI says this:
  • Yes, a new, unsold 2024 Winnebago Journey would have a manufacturer's warranty. The warranty coverage typically begins on the date the RV is first sold to a consumer, so it has not expired. For a new, unsold unit, the warranty period would be the full term of the initial manufacturer's warranty and any applicable appliance or component warranties.
So could it be that the dealer is simply attempting to get you to buy his extended warrantee contract? How much do they want for that? I personally would never buy an extended contract.
A price of $250K is extremely good. The Winnebago web site is showing $480,270 for available in-stock inventory:
It sounds like a great deal for you, but please be careful.
Welcome to the forum.

Congratulation on your new "toy"
I am with Eagle5 on the warranty thing. One of the reasons is the GSEW. When I did the same thing you are as for trading etc I bought new Class A and was offered the GSEW. Remember all your Winnebago and stove, frig, water heater, motor that kind of items also have there own warranty.
Make sure you are not paying for the GSEW
Good luck and enjoy Welcome to the club

I think we've seen others mention that in a effort to discontinue the Journey model they have discounted them greatly AND are selling them without a factory warranty.

Is this Camping World for $250k? If the $265 one comes with a Winnebago warranty (NOT a service plan!) and it's not from Camping World I'd go for that instead.

I was at a dealer last week that has 3 of them, all brand new left over 2023's! I think a big volume store somewhere had them and sold them to this particular dealership because they just arrived with transport mileage and have never been registered.

Does Winnebago have to buy back unsold inventory? Thats what sunk country coach years ago. Could also explain where they came from.

We bought a 2025 Journey 34N Friday late afternoon, received only a Freightliner warranty and had to specifically acknowledge no Winnebago warranty. We are looking at either a GS plan or the dealer offered us a Protective (??) warranty plan, both about $5k for 5 years/100k miles. We're missing a broken window shade, shower door holder, and perfectly working leveling system (they work, just controller needs reset. they're coming to pick up the coach when the parts arrive and fix the agreed issues. 1st day home, I locked the door and can't open.
