New to the forum and RVing. Wife and I purchased a 2023 Navion that was used with 2600 miles on it. Started noticing a fast battery discharge. Got home and had the batteries checked and one is failing. Decided to replace with Lithium, so pulled the batteries and got the new Lithiums. In my excitement I didn't take a quick picture of the battery set up and the factory wiring is a little odd. Red wires with black tape (NEGATIVE/Ground), blue wire with red tape (Positive/Hot) along with red and black wires. Since this is a dual battery setup, just want to make sure everything is wired correctly. Since I am in Alaska, I will wait till next spring to run correct wires and gauge.

Not sure if this will help, but here is a picture of the battery box on our 2023 View's battery box from just before I removed our worthless LA batteries. We bought it used with 2000 miles on the odometer and the original owners had already killed them. I installed 1 LiFePo 300Ah battery.

We are lacking some of the info on exactly which floorplan/model of RV you have as well as which option, 1MP or 02P for batteries but this is the genral wiring diagrams for those. You will have to look over which to decide which sheet to use.

go first to the correct option and find the Chassis Wiring Installation group! Use sheet 3 or 4 to fit the option you have.
But there is also some really good info on the way Winnebago uses tape markers placed near the cable ends to ID them. Assuming the OEM cables are still marked, there is a list of the ID markers on sheet 6!

Note that the ID is also on the drawings but following them on the drawing gets iffy and the cable markers may be easier to spot!

RV type

2023 Navion 24 D. Two batteries 100APH with solar charging. Didn't notice any markings on the cables.

Sorry! Shorted you on info as I did not list the drawing I meant to put in the post!

I think (without ever seeing the RV!) that you will be like sheet 4 for lithium. But do check that matches what you see!
Then there are supposed to be tape as I've marked in this picture from above.
Both sheet 4 and 6 have some info on the tape labels?

Riverbend's pics are probably more accurate than my 2018 Navion's battery bay under the side steps. There's a few extra cables in his picture.
Here's 2 pics of the "before" wiring, before I replaced the 2 useless factory installed FLA NAPA batteries. I added 2 Relion 100Ah RB100-LT batteries. Can charge them down to 4F/-20C.

Still no luck

None of the pictures posted look like my setup. I have three fuse terminals in the battery bay.

You may be the victim of somebody making changes to suit what they wanted at the time!
When you mentioned a blue wire with red tape, it pretty well threw out any "normal" we would find!
I don't think I've ever seen a blue battery cable!
