Linda is recently retired & I'm semi- retired. We purchased our second Class A this spring, we sold our 1998 38' Fleetwood Bounder gas which we had for 8 years. We purchased a 40' Winnebago Horizon diesel pusher. We pull a 2020 Ford F150 behind it. We put about 5,000 miles this summer out west. Went to Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons & ND Black hills. We also made several trips to areas in MN. Our kids are grown but when they were young we had tents, a couple different popup campers & went camping locally almost every weekend in the spring, summer and fall. We also took a couple long vacations outstate.

Greetings Daniel and Linda,
It sounds wonderful. I have a fond memory of camping-out with my mom, dad, and brother in a tent while my dad's brother and his family stayed in a Winnebago D22. We had a great time.
Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to a new set of friends!! Looks like you're off to a great start - keep that coach moving / they hate sitting around doing nothing - like most of us!!

I suspect your Horizon is a great RV. Our first class-A was a 2003 Horizon and we loved it. It was a 32' diesel pusher, and we learned all the ropes for that type of rig. In 2010, we opted for a 40' Winnebago Journey and moved on to a full time life. After over 15 years, all I can say is we don't want to stop and just keep on driving!

Hey Dan,
Congrats on your new (to you) purchase of the '04 Horizon. We have a very close sistership to yours. It's an '04 Itasca Horizon 36GD with the CAT C-7 330HP. We've now owned it for right at 14 years and we've now got a whopping 122,000 miles on her. She's been a great coach. I've done all the maintenance, modifications, alterations, repairs and more on it and have a spread sheet a mile long on everything Iv'e done. I'd be glad to try and answer any questions you might have. Good luck.
Scott

Greetings from a fellow Minnesotan. We had a 2002 Journey for 11 years before upgrading to a 2012. We have been all over the country since I retired 25 years ago and our Winnebago has worked great. I hope that Winnebago starts the Grand National Rally again. It was a great way to meet fellow travelers.
