Hello all,

We just signed for our 2022 Micro Minnie 2108 FBS. We're looking forward to June when we will finally be semi-retired and can take her on the road. In the meantime, I'm scouring these pages and multiple YouTube videos trying to sort out what I should, and, more importantly, NOT buy between now and June. We are very excited to begin this new chapter of our lives!

Welcome. Buy only what you absolutely need to go camping. For example, black hose fresh water hose, sewer drain hose etc... Then take short trips close to home to use as shakedown trips. If you go for a weekend plug in to utilities at the campground for one day and unplug for a day, get to know your rig. When you find yourself saying "I wish I had," put it on your buy list. After a couple of trips, you will probably identify most things you need. Remember, your needs are not my needs and my needs are not your needs. We all do things differently. Some people cannot live without an InstaPot, I have never used one. Also, some rigs are bigger than others and offer more storage. Both weight and storage may be an issue for how much stuff you can take. Good luck, enjoy the journey.

There are just so many ideas, hacks, fixes, mods, etc. for this towable line on this forum.

Best advice from Gurroz above is get to know your rig before you plop down money for useless stuff. If you’re going to use your micro primarily for camping in places with full hookups, you really won’t need much except for a good sewer hose and connectors. There are plenty of YouTube’s out there with advice on essential gear. Camp in your driveway first. But before you leave for a campground, pick up the “don’t leave home without it” safety gear. Stuff like:
First aid kit with sutures
A box of nitrile gloves
Reflective roadside emergency markers in case of breakdown
A pedestal surge protector
A 30amp to 15amp dogbone
Folding Camp shovel in case you need to dig out tires.
A digital air pressure gauge.
A tire inflator
A quart of oil for your tow vehicle.
Inline water filter for your incoming city water hookup
A digital multimeter to diagnose any electrical problems
A basic toolkit with sockets
Some way to jack up the trailer to change a tire.
The micros have torsion suspensions, so you can actually use elliptical levelers to get an axle lifted high enough to change a tire.

We were you last year at this time. You’ve come to the right place for tips, advice and guidance. Aside from the necessities, my favorite accessory is my camp chef two burner stove. That baby kicks out some btu’s. Throw a griddle on top and you’re set for cooking.
