A new/Used 2017 Winnie drop 170s owner. Have 12 year GSD we will be taking with us. Excited to get on the road. I raise 10 chickens. ? ? ? Have a weight distribution hitch n bars/chains but trailer is swaying at 60 mph. Any ideas? Should I buy a sway bar instead?
Will be having braking harness and controller installed next week. Hope this helps with the sway. Anxious to get on the road but, the sway is a beast! Any insight is much appreciated.

Greetings WBlougouras,
Tongue weight provides the damping force for sway. You should have at least 10% up to 15% of the trailer's weight riding on your hitch.
Also, be sure the distance from the trailer ball to the trailer wheel hub is the same on both sides, ±¼".

Thank you Eagle5.
How do I make sure the distance from the trailer ball to the trailer wheel hub is the same on both sides?

Use a standard carpentry tape measure. You don't need to go in a straight line. You can wrap around the tire to get to the hub, as long as you do it the same way on both sides.
P.S. Great looking dog in your moniker image!

Thank you on both accounts! Very helpful.

Tighten up on the bars, you should see the tow vehicle level out a bit with weight transferring to the front wheels. My dealer set it up all wrong at the start.

I am also a new/used 2017 Winnie Drop 170s owner - just pulled it home 2 days ago. I pulled it about 80 miles and topped out a little over 60mph. I have pulled all sorts of trailers and thought my new Winnie pulled great. I love the 6.5’ box width. Mine came with weight distribution and sway control. I recommend the addition of sway control. Weight distribution hitches often have the ball for a sway bar built-in.
I had a utility trailer that when it got back-heavy really swayed - that can be terrifying! The sway bar is kind of like a shock absorber in that it slows down the change in direction.

Looking forward to interacting and learning.

I use the blue ox sway pro wdh, and it only has one ball with 2 bars which do the weight distribution and sway control.
The dealer put 750 lb bars on and they actually got a set and remained a bit bent after one season traveling across country. I bumped up to the next size as that is what the Manufacturer recommended, dealer had it wrong.
Also tightening up on the bars made a huge difference! Another dealer I found on the road suggested that and said he typically sees 2-1/2 links showing above the bars.
