New 2002 Minnie 24V Owner Troubleshooting AC

Hi. I just purchased a 2002 Minnie Winnie 24V and have absolutely no clue what I am doing. I’m replacing capacitors today in the hopes that it will make my AC work. Just going to one step at a time it. Lots of research to do.

Working through what is the best way forward is always a tough thing as we start out. The problem I find with RV is I never seem to learn all the ways it can sneak up on me. But I might first say that changing parts can turn into a real problem if we are not really well trained. RV tend to be a bit different than a house on things to go wrong because they live in a different place. One is corrosion that is far less in houses. Wire connections corrode or shake loose far more in RV, so they are much more common than actual parts failures. The good part of this is we can clean and redo connections much cheaper than replace parts.
But that gets back to what you see wrong and perhaps telling the group more can lead to folks who can suggest tests to find the caps are bad or not! Things like sorting out what brand and model of air unit may allow for looking for repair manuals? Not tried that on air but it works for lots of the parts installed in RV! Summer time and no AC may put a guy in a crunch where we have to get it done --even if it costs more. But I tend to be slow to pay if I can see another option!
So what is the AC doing to you that it has your attention>?

Sometimes folks get used to referring to their smaller Winnebago as a “Minnie Winnie” not realizing that Minnie Winnie is a specific separate model name and this name may not apply to their RV.

Perhaps the actual model name of your RV is the 2002 Minnie 24V, because there was no 2002 Minnie Winnie 24V. The only Minnie Winnie floor plans were 27P, 30V and 31C.

Getting this detail correct can make a big difference in finding the right info, parts and service for your RV.

So, I figured out the AC problem. I was not hooked up to shore power. I was attempting to use the generator. The problem was that I was not plugged into the generator and the breaker on the generator was tripped. So I reset the breaker and plugged into the generator and it worked. Now I am attempting to get the slideout to work and I am unable to find anything that seems like a manual override. I have the Monarch hydraulic system.
