I had the turn signal recall completed on June 3rd at which time they did the “assessment” on the hood bracket recall. So I go out today for a routine under hood inspection that I always do before driving it and found the bracket on the hood that contacts the bump stop is missing from the driver’s side.
I’m scratching my head because I’m pretty sure it was there when I did the under hood check before taking it in for the turn signal recall, but my memory sometimes takes a vacation too.
So I call General RV and ask if that bracket was missing when they assessed the recall. The notes indicate that it was missing and will be replaced under the recall. The timing of that failure was perfect because now I don’t have to cobble one together and glue it back on myself. This does cause me concern over what is going to fall off the front end next though. Go figure ??
