For winterizing my Minnie Winnie 22M what I did, was to buy the part that is currently connected to the water pump, so I have two. One for the pump, and one to screw on (with hose attached using a hose clamp) to put in rv antifreeze. a regular hose does not fit. It is about a 7 dollar piece.

I would love to have a diagram that tells me which position the valves need to be turned to for winterizing. I know where the valves are, just not sure of the positioning. Currently I am having issues keeping the water in the fresh water tank. Appt in Dec. unable to winterize with antifreeze as it all just runs out onto the ground.

Hi BEAllen,
I do have better instructions for the blow-out method here, along with the positioning of the drain valves:
I would never put the pink stuff in my fresh water tank. Very hard to get that taste out!

Maybe blow out your lines since you’re having those problems?

I second that " Don't put that Pink Stuff in your fresh water tank"

Nice write up on them directs for a 22M , I certainty appreciated them as this is my first winter with my 22M

Filled the tank , added Sea Foam , added some Marine Stabilizer , put on a nice fitting cover , added a trickle charger for engine battery

Changed all fluids and filters , waxed the 22M before putting on cover , put the tires up on pallets , lubed chassis with Penetrating fluid , added Pink Stuff to sink traps and toilet

I guess I may not be sensitive to the flavor of pink as we rarely/never drink directly from that supply.
After we do the spring chlorine treatment, the flavor has not been a big issue for the other uses we make of it.
But that whole idea may bring some questions? I note your complaints with the flavor but question whether it is much benefit to not allow antifreeze in the tank but do run antifreeze through the lines?
No flavor in the tank but how do you get water from that tank through lines to your faucets that have had antifreeze in them?
I just go with the idea that I will want to clear the whole system, tank, lines, and all, in the spring and as part of that I do the normal chlorine treatment that clears most of it as if it were any of the problems that might grow in the tank or lines while stored.
Pink is one of the smaller things that are normal in any public water supply when things are built and we treat it all with chlorine there. If you think about the stuff a dozen guys working inside a new water tower may do while painting the inside, you can see pink is not a real big issue! You just have to clear it out with the really bigger worries that might kill you!
If they haul in two miles of pipe from across country for a new pipeline, they don't run it through the
dishwasher!
Chlorine or chloramine are the two big things used for public water most of us drink, so I use it for the RV!

When I took my first weekend trip with my used 22R, water wouldn't stay in the fresh water tank. Turns out the drain valve was in the open position. Oops! I learned my lesson. My drain valve is hard to reach, but my daughter made a tool that makes it easier to reach. I still have to lift up the mattress, but I no longer have to lie under the mattress and stick my head and shoulders down into the access hole in order to reach the valve which is so nicely hidden under a wastewater pipe.
