Minnie Travel Trailer Going Away?

We just sold our 2021 2529RG and are window shopping for our next trailer. We are interested in the new Thrive 24RKS but none have made it to Texas yet. Our dealer contacted his Winnebago rep to ask a couple of questions he said that they are going to stop making the Minnie line and it will be replaced by the Thrive. So far only 4 floorplans but it appears that there will be several more. If anyone has seen one in person, let us know what you think!

We just bought the 18FBS and are very happy. Bright and roomy for a small trailer. Quality is excellent for the most part but we were coming from one of the giant competitor line where quality and customer support was not in their vocabulary.
We really enjoy being in it and the ability to tow with a large SUV.

Good to hear you’re happy with the quality! We felt that our Minnie was better than average although there were always some minor issues. We still haven’t been able to see any of the Thrive line in person but our dealer hopes to have them soon.

We toured the 24RKS at the Hershey RV show and contracted to build. There were none available to purchase from a lot. It’s beautiful. Has an oversized dinette and a separate bedroom. Two A/C so it is 50 amp. The bedroom has a lot of closet space and one of the closets is plumbed for a washer dryer. Can’t wait for it to be delivered to the dealer and get camping

Still none in Texas but I did see that they dropped another floor plan on the Thrive site, 25RLS. Looks like they are stepping up the Thrive production. Let us know when you get yours!

I didn’t like the 25RLS as well because the bathroom is a walk through bathroom. I prefer a more separate bathroom. Also it’s a little bigger than the 24RKS, which has everything we need and still is under 30 feet.

Agreed, I like the rear living but not the walkthrough bathroom. One of the things we wanted when we sold the 2529rg was a little more bathroom space. We also tow with a Silverado 1500 diesel with the max towing package. It handled the Minnie just fine but anything much bigger and I’ll have to go back to a 2500HD.

For what it's worth, I was just looking at the Winnebago website and under the FLX & Thrive, there's now a note saying "Dealer stock only." The non-solar Micro Minnie is still there.

It also looks like they're rolling some of the features into the Thrive but just the basic solar panel controller setup. I didn't even see any Truma items listed.
