*FLX OWNERS ONLY PLEASE* :)

Our slide out on our Micro Minnie FLX has failed badly, and we are planning on replacing the Schwintek with a Vroom system. I found an installer in our state and they asked me to get some pictures of a sticker on the slide. Unfortunately since our slide unit is not functioning, I cannot extend the slide to get a photo of it.

Do any of you with a 2108FBS and a functional slide happen to be able to take a quick measurement?

Or, is there any way to get photos of the stickers on the slide system? Since I cannot even extend mine, I can't see any of the stickers, much less get pics or even peel them off to read them.

I am unable to get to my unit for another week or so (I'm out with a back injury) but if I can get measurements to the dealer, they can get the ball rolling.

I know it's a long shot but if one of you is near your trailer, it would be much appreciated.

Not an FLX, but 2108 FBS with couch slide if you need something…

Slide tag (maybe?)

This may be the tag you are looking for? Its from our 2108DS taken during our slide repair adventure. It was what Lipert asked for. I thought for the TSB date range but maybe there is something more in the numbers. Whoever knows what they are looking for should be able to tell if it provides any utility. If there is any specify between builds / models, etc. All bets are off.

I hope I'm not steering you wrong.

good luck, and speedy recovery of your back,
- Steve

that's about all I can see on our sticker too, but ours is at a skewed angle. same information. :)

do you still have your FLX? I see the strikethrough line there... uh oh.

I have a 2022 micro Minnie flx that i bought new 2023. After minimum use the slide out did not function on one side. Luckily it was still in warranty and had a mobile Rv repair look at it. They said bad install. Replaced entire unit . Took them two trips to take measurements. It has been working fine since. My caution to you is have who ever is going to install to do measurements themselves so if wrong upon receipt of parts then their problem

Slide Tag

I had the same problem with our 2021 2108DS and was able to get the information off the tags and sent them to Connecticut Car and Motor Coach who is an authorized vroom slide assembly installer. They are great to work with. Our unit was the 1st small trailer they installed a vroom system on and the technicians were very excited about doing the job. We dropped it off, they have a hookup area with electric, water and sewer. We have an extended warranty on this unit so that helped with some of the cost. They also recommended adding some additional rollers to take some of the tilting out of the slide when it is closed. We are very happy campers since we had this work done. Let me know if you have any questions. Ron Welch

Below is the information I sent to Wendy at Connecticut Motor Car & Coaches and she passed it on to the technician and they said that is what they needed. If you can’t pull the labels off you may be able to get the numbers using a flexible inspection camera. I hope this helps and I hope your back gets to feeling better. Ron

That is great, thanks. I was able to line up that information with mine. I got back there with a small telescoping mirror and get a better look at it.

You mentioned that the extended warranty helped with some of the costs. How did that process work? I also did an extended warranty on ours, although it's still under the original warranty. We really don't want to even deal with the whole "repair, see what happens" game because we've read so many reports of the repair failing anyway. I did hear that extra rollers may be advised.

Thanks again!

Just give Wendy your contract number, she deals with this stuff all the time. You will be happy with the vroom slide. Let know if you have any other questions. Ron

I fshould have mentioned that we're having one of the Vroom authorized installers in Southern California do the install. :) but that's a good idea, I can call Vroom themselves as well and ask about it.

thanks again! I've heard a lot of good things about them, and users report high reliability, which is important for us.

Replying to myself as an update for anyone that's at all curious.

We got the Vroom system installed. Extended warranty *did* cover some of the costs. Not much else to say that others haven't already said. The slide unit looks & feels a lot more solid and we've run the slide in & out several times to test it, and while it's slower, that's not a worry at all. We just want it to be reliable. The fact that there's a manual operation as a last resort is a huge plus. at least we won't ever get stuck with a halfway extended slide.
