Micro Minnie 2108 - damage from freezing?

Thanks Jim & Travato John!

I didn't think of a small electric or Wave 3 heater, so both great ideas to help with the cold.

Also, as you Jim, if I ran the A/C @ 65F for 20 minutes, that would certainly help with the moisture. With only a 2200W Honda Generator though, maybe not ideal to start up and run the AC, but, I have not tried it. I was thinking of installing the new(ish) 'Soft Start' kit to the AC on our 2021 TB, so that would probably allow the AC to start up and run with no problems.

Yes, this type of camping does build character, but WOW Travato John, you are the 'Real Trooper' camping at -14 degrees!! Now that's a real test for a person(s) and their rig! This could be a new term 'Stud Camping' :)

If you don't have your Classic Lazy Daze anymore, what are you enjoying the great outdoors in now?

Something to consider?
When we have spaces that may freeze but we don't know exactly how much heat we will need, a cheap idea may help. $20 cheap?
This is one idea we came up with when dealing with all the variables in Rv. We never knew for sure how cold it would get and that often meant we were putting way too much heat and often doing it way before it was needed. We had to turn the heat on before bed and left it running, often after it was needed. So automation was needed!

This was one that works for us and we liked it for several reasons but I'm sure there are others to shop!
I hate noise when trying to sleep, so a heater close to us was a problem. Also the controls on most small electric heaters are pretty close to guessing!
This little digital control went where we wanted the heat. Sometimes that was for where we were but other times it was where the suspect plumbing might freeze.
We put the remote thermostat where we wanted to control the temp and then plugged the electric heat into the other end of the setup.
Easy to say you don't want this specific pipe to get under 32, set the heater inside or wherever you feel right and it keeps the pipe from freezing, no matter the outside temp or which way the wind blows!
One thing that I liked was that it solved the issue of trying to fit a heater in some tiny little crack where the pipe is! I was able to lay this small remote in most any space and let it decide when and how much the heater needed to run to let enough heat get to that spot!
I now use it in this house on an outside faucet that freezes way too soon. Texas is not well prepped for freeze prevention and they stuck the outside faucet in the far front wall of the unheated garage. Coldest spot in the entire house and no heat in the garage!
This lets me put the control on the pipe and only turn the heat on when it gets cold at that pipe, instead of guessing and turning on the heater for all night! I'm pretty sure it has saved me well over the $20 for heat that would have been largely wasted.
Like a heat tape but for places where you can't wrap a tape?

A soft start or easy start is well worth it. After we installed ours, we’re able to run A/C with our Champion which only puts out 1,800w on propane. We could also run it for short periods on our 2,000w inverter. Takes about 1/2 hour to install it.

I tried running the 15K GE A/C on our 2024 2108TB with a new Honda 2200 and it wouldn't work every time.
Then I installed the unit from softstartrv.com and now it works perfectly fine on the little Honda. That little box is amazing, well worth it, and I'd pay the extra again to buy the real deal instead of a amazon knock off. One leak, one short, corrosion.. I would not risk smoking my A/C unit over a few bucks saved with a China mystery box.

It's instructions were spot-on, step-by-step simple, even came with a wire stripper and all needed connectors.
The worst part about it was climbing up on the roof.
