I guess I didn’t push in tight enough, but when I opened the compartment door, it was gone. It’s a 5500 Onan Marquis Gold on a 2002 Adventurer 32V. Does anybody know where I might find a replacement?

I googled it and found one, but you better make sure it’s the right one for you. I’d be hesitant to run the generator without it, as the way it’s air cooled, I believe you’re gonna need to cover on it in order to keep it ventilated.

Thanks, Wyatt. I looked at that one, but it’s not like mine. Mine is gas, and it looks like the diesel is different. I’m sure trying to find one.

It is a must have item. The gen is air cooled and that cover is part of the system that is required for proper cooling.

My internet searches haven’t turned up anything. I made one out of luan plywood. I secured it by using pressure washer nozzles pushed into the grommets and stretching a bungee cord across the bottom. It seems to be in tight. Hope that will suffice until I find one.

Thanks Creativepart, knowing its proper name will help me search.
