My leveling system rank is seeping fluid. Lippert informed my mechanic shop that you can not purchase just a tank. The assembly is nearly $2500. Does anyone have a tank from a bad pump that they replaced?

Hey RD, we really need to know what your RV is in detail to help you with almost everything.

Please always include your model year, model and floor plan info.

Most of us put this info in our Signature in our Profile so that this info is automatically included at the bottom of every post.

Thanks!

Oops 27' Win. Vista 2016.

So... 2016 Winnebago Vista... and the model info???? I'd guess it's a 26HE since there is no '27 model. Can you confirm its a 2016 Vista 26HE?

You may not realize it, but the full model info is vitally important for answering requests for information, parts, service, etc.

Plastic tank I assume? This may be a time to get into "make do" !
Maybe to save some pretty big cash or lots of looking, can you see exactly where the leak might be?
Logic says there can be holes or defect in the tank but what about something as simple as a seam where some fitting goes into the tank?
Maybe just wishing, but what if it is just a loose attachment point and a a bit of new gasket or tighten a bolt would do the job?
But if you can spot an actual spot where it is damaged, plastic is nice when we want to just use a soldering iron and melt a crack back together!
Maybe it costs a hundred or two but with the price you mention, I'm prone to doing some weird repair work!

One cheap way to gain more info might be to find exact model number and perhaps that leads to a parts drawing where you could study where fluid might get out?

The part number 286871 is what I am in need of.

That plastic tank is not pressurized, thus it can be plastic-welded. It must first must be removed and cleaned inside and outside to remove all traces of oil and dirt.
There is a molded in stamp that tells the material, the welding rod must be that same material.
Most any auto body shop does plastic welding, it's used a lot on todays plastic fenders and bumpers.
OTOH, RV salvage yards might have non-working Lippert units with good tanks.

I paid a shop to find the leak. They said the tank and/or maybe the fitting on the side. No maintenance was done. We are parts searching in the meantime. I am unable to crawl under it safely. Plastic repairs are unreliable, imo. But that may be my only reasonable option.

YES< Fully agree I don't like plastic repairs but if it is melted and we get lucky, it can hold for a long time.
Tricky to heat the plastic to smooth it over but there are times when we get in a pinch! Since this is pretty low pressure, it might save you??
