Our 'obligatory' intro note

Brand new Vista owners from SW Okla. Not new to RVing, been traveling with a 5er past +decade. RVing (RV of any kind) is what we believe Roughing It is (used to be we thought roughing it was motels with limited cable channels).

Never any question when we graduated from 5er to coach it would both be a Winnebago and a Vista. On a vacation trip +year ago DW wanted to stop in a dealer just to see what they had. Looked at a couple dozen and the only one that had any interest for us was the Vista.

Two walk-thrus with the dealer and we have lots of questions that we'll post in other topics. Further proof to me (same as with the 5er) that the only thing dealers are interested in is the sale.

Welcome to WinnieOwners. We're glad you're here. Enjoy the new rig, you're going to love the change from towing and the easy setup too.

Hello, newbie to the forum here. We just bought a new Vista 29VE. I am here to learn about the new rig, and gather wisdom from members. I know no salesman on earth can compare to owners when it comes to knowledge of their rigs. We took Vista on its maiden voyage to Seward this past weekend. Even though it is quite early to do so, we did have warm enough weather to go. I liked the layout of the 29ve. Although, we will most likely never use any one of the 3 TVs it hauls around. Alaska scenery beats any tv show ever made.
We did have the jack warning lights go off on the way home, which scared the hell out of us. We weren’t in a place that we were able to get off the road for about a mile. After reading the forum here this morning, I know now what happened and how to fix it. Thank you all.
