One thing that annoyed me about my 2024 Vita is that the Sprinter didn't come with an electronic rear view mirror to see behind me (MB added that in 2025).
I ended up getting a solar powered magnetic wireless camera. Unfortunately, the only magnetic areas in the back of the Vita are the plates that the ladder screwed into, which wasn't enough to hold the camera up while offsetting the lens from the ladder.
What I ended up doing was offsetting the camera off the plate a bit, used 3M double stick tape with prep liquid, used two small L brackets taped to the fiberglass, and then--because I'm paranoid--made a little safety harness out of ties just in case it couldn't survive highway bumps at 70mph.
I'm happy for $75 and not wanting to drill into the fiberglass.

Hi Pointyears,
Looks good to me. Just one thought; would it make sense to mount the rear view display directly upon the rear view mirror, thereby clearing-up the forward view?

I mounted mine under the ladder step and display is right on the dash under the rear view mirror. I used heavy duty ties to secure it to the ladder step.
I thought about that but then I decided to mount it above casual reach. That being said as high as I have it mounted I probably can’t see the immediate 12 feet behind it but since there’s the built-in back up camera, I really didn’t care.

I had her on the highway today and its placement and resolutio/frame rate were perfect for the camera, and the monitor worked out really well. Probably the best $75 I’ve ever spent.
