A member who recently bought a 2013 Sightseer 30A asked what an unidentified green-covered key might operate, since the yellow key opens the storage doors and the brass key works the slide-out control panel. Other members noted that colored key covers usually have no built-in RV meaning and may simply identify keys added by a previous owner.

Suggestions included checking for markings under the cover, keeping the key until every lock is identified, and considering prior-owner items such as a...

I cannot find the use for the green key. We recently purchased a 2013 Sightseer 30A. Along with the ignition and 2 door lock keys, it came with these pictured. The yellow key works ALL the storage doors, and the brass key is for the slide-out control\ panel. What is the green key for? The broker, POP Sells, has no idea and the seller in not responsive. Any ideas?

The green and yellow covers are added on normal keys and have no true meaning other than letting you spot one or the other. I might first guess that there was something to do with the RV and used by the last owner. Something as simple as the lock on the gate where they stored the RV?
The lock they used to secure the towbar to the RV and they kept it and the lock but forgot this key?
I would take that key off, remove the cover and it "might" have some info stamped to let you know what type of key. Maybe it fits the motorscooter they trailered behnd the RV?
My move would be to store the key for a while until I truly knew there was not some hidden lock it fits!
Some day you might find a safe hidden down under the bed and it is full of gold!!!

Thanks for your quick reply. I’ve checked the tow bar and bedroom safe. Neither accepts this key. I’ll hang onto it and see if we find its use

Could be an extra slide out key. The key at the control center that allows the slides to operate.

Thank you for this thought, but no. The brass key is for the slideout control panel and I have a 2nd key for that.

Yup those are 2 replacement Trimark keys. The ks101 should be the door and compartment key. The ks201 is the dead bolt key.
The actual Trimark keys have a code on them 11xx or 22xx so you can actually order keys for your lock.
If you can look around for the real Trimark keys even if the aren't useable any longer they have the actual code for your locks. The code on the aftermarket keys only tell you the key style.

Silly side note. We just bought the Meridian and while checking all of the bay locks I found that I couldn't operate the lock on the battery bay.
Fortunately the bay was unlocked but I really wanted to be able to lock up 6 batteries.
Now I can lock it.... but I can't lock my sewer bay!
