How DO You Store the Sewage Hose in Vista26P?

My wife and I are considering purchase of a Vista 26P.
One issue I see is the lack of a sewage hose storage tube.
It looks like the sewage hose ... which is never really clean no matter how you rinse it out ... is just intended to be coiled up in the same compartment with the power cord.
I am shocked that Winnebago would do that.
Am I wrong? Have I missed something?
How do you store your sewage hose in a Vista 26P?
The salesman suggested adding on a sewage hose storage tube underneath the rear end of the M H.
Come on Winnebago engineers! How could you leave this out?

my winnebago had no provision for storing a sewer hose when i bought it used.
i made a tube out of 6'' pvc plastic pipe with ends held on with pip pins.
i mounted this tube with large hose clamps to a 1'' angle iron piece that i installed across the frame rails to mount a brush guard. i drilled several 1/4'' holes in the bottom of the tube for drainage.
after dumping my black tank and flushing it several times, i add 1-2 cups of bleach to my nearly full gray tank and then drain the gray tank thus sanitizing my stinky slinky.
i carry 25' of rhinoflex, 15' and a 10' extension, and the end fittings in this tube.

Another option is to simply buy a plastic storage box large enough to hold dump hose. One of the benefits of the box is that you can keep any connectors on it such as 90 degree elbows, etc. BTW I have owned 4 mh's now and the only one that has had a factory storage area is my 2000 Hurricane.

We bought the Drainmaster hose, which has a shutoff and cap and comes in it's own storage container. Spillage and odor is not a problem. We have limited storage in our Aspect but found the container fits quite nicely.

We purchased the "Polychute" and it works great. Stores away neatly in our outside compartment.

I have a Rhinoflex hose. It comes with caps for both ends, but I just leave it connected, cap the one end, and coil it up in the compartment.

I don't think the sewage hose can cause any harm to your power cord.

I put my sewer hose inside a rubber maid container in the same compartment with my spare power cords. But they are coiled inside a RM container also.

If your hose doesn't have end caps, I've always connected one end to the other so there's no dripping afterward. My spare Rhinoflex (and extra miscellaneous) fittings fit nicely that way in a flat plastic container that doesn't take up much space at all in one of the storage bays. I now pretty much use the sewage bay to store the main hose while traveling and do what John Mo does leaving it connected with one end capped.

After some research I found that:
The Drain Master/Waste Master Cam-Loc system looks the best, with a smooth inside hose (so it stays clean) and an easy "cam lock" instead of a twist, but it requires changing the outflow sewer fitting on the M H from the prongs type to their compression type: see

On the other hand, the Polychute also has an excellent, more-sanitary hose (no ridges on inside), clear end barrels to see the flow, a turn off valve and a locking storage cap. But, it uses the old prongs-type of sewer outflow fitting. See:

Looks like either one would be much better than the old metal-wire spiral hoses. But, I suspect the DrainMaster Cam Lock would require a different end fitting on the Vista.
I wonder if I can store a 24" (long) x 17" (deep) x 7" (high) Polychute hose storage box in the Vista sewer/electrical compartment?

I burp the air out of my hoses before I put the second cap on so it is only about 2ft long when stored.

I keep 3 sections in my Sanitation / Valve compartment.
After use I clean and sanitize what I've used and couple the ends together and put it back in the compartment.

Take a look at the Sewer Solution from Camping World. Very simple and very clean. And easy to stow since it's only a bit larger in dia that a garden hose. A 10' section of hose comes with the unit so if you get one, I would suggest getting an extra section. I've had mine for 4 years now and would not switch

I agree what's up with Winnebago, You would think there would be a nice factory built solution. I lke others built my own solution out of 6" PVC pipe, with drainage holes. No way will I have that "thing" in with any other items including a power cord.

I advised that it was very stupid of them to put the sewer hose by the fresh water inlet.
I.E don' crap where you eat!
