Many folks add chlorine to the water tank then pump it through all the lines leaving it for 4 - 12 hours. Then you need to drain the tank and flush the system with fresh water. With a 70 gallon tank I hesitate to do this due to the amount of water waste. The other option is to add a small amount of chlorine to each fill. Has anyone had success with this method? We fill before leaving home (short 1-2 week trips) and have chlorinated city water. Maybe that is enough to keep the lines clean? Any input is appreciated!
