Hi everyone,
I am Evan. We are the proud newest owners of 2019 Micro Minnie 2100bh. I was a bit disappointed seeing it in person after getting excited about the online pictures the dealer posted. But at the end of my 45 minutes of looking it over I saw no reasons to drive the 3 hours back home with nothing in tow.
So here it is Big Bird! Aka Trailer Swift (Because it’s blonde and going on a North American tour!)
We’re a family of seven with kids 15-4 who spent the last two summers road tripping. 2024 was 28 days tent camping to the southwest and Grand Canyon. 2025 was 34 days from the Atlantic Ocean in NC to the Pacific and back probably about 9000 miles. Fast and light is our motto but we also realize 28 days living out of Sprinter van is about our limit.
Were planning and NC to AK trip either 2027 or 28 and just couldn’t see how it was possible without a camper.
We all make life choices. Some of those choice mean you don’t fit in places and vehicles like a normal size family, a that has a cascading effect. Like the 5000 pound tow rating of our 2024 AWD Sprinter. So after lots of think and virtual shopping I decided that the RV that best met our needs and budget was a model year 18-20 2100bh. Reasoning was it 3700 pound dry weight and 7000 max weight meant it had stout axels and frame to hold up for the trip to AK but was light enough to stay under my max limit when loaded.
If from what I gather there aren’t that many yellow Micro Minnies so if you see one behind a Sprinter it’s me!
