I don't have a Winnebago yet but looking for a classic one from the 70's. I'm not afraid of fixing up an old one as I have worked on many old cars and trucks, sailboats and built stuff. Looking forward to continuing my retirement adventure on land as my life cruising on sailboats is a little too strenuous now. Brad

Welcome Brad.

Keep in mind that a Winnebago motorhome is really two separate things. A motor vehicle and a house. Being a good mechanic is an asset. But just as important, maybe more, is being a talented home remodeling expert. Oh, and an appliance repair person, and an electrician, plumber, HVAC technician, roofing contractor and a skilled parts locator for 55-yr old discontinued products.

Best of luck in your search.

There are some great old units out there. I wear the hats described above after many years. So you can do it. Mine is only 22 years old, but in good shape. I would love to have the time and money to rehab and old Brave.

Thanks for the reminder. I think I have the necessary skills. I built a sailboat from plans and did all the electrical, plumbing, fiberglass, carpentry and rigging from scratch. My wife says I like the building process better that the actual using of the thing, LOL.

I am in a park in Arizona and this is out back. I took a bunch of pics as it is rough. But it may be abandoned and cheap. It is a Chieftan.
