Hello everyone,

I've been a member for quite a few years, and I'll admit I don't remember why I joined, because I just recently acquired a 1984 Itasca Sunflyer 22RC from my next door neighbors. I may have joined, because I used to own a 1976 Monaco Class C and was looking for parts and resources. This is my ninth RV, four of which I've restored, so I'm pretty well-versed in mechanical and construction of these rigs. I'm sure I'll still have plenty of questions, as this is my first Winnebago product.

Hi Eagle5, I responded to your post, however it apparently failed to load. Thanks for those links. I was fortunate enough to find the original brown vinyl Itasca Owner's Pouch with all of the original paperwork still intact in it. I also found that electronic copy of the Operator's Manual and I bought a spiral-bound copy on eBay, to keep the original from falling apart. My biggest job going forward is rebuilding the roof, given the caulk completely failed over the years and water got in. Thankfully, I'm pretty well-versed in doing this; I restored a 1973 Caveman slide-in truck camper nine years ago that had a collapsed roof, this one is just twice as long. I'll take my time, measure twice and cut once.

Hi Fred,
Glad you were able to get posted OK, and thank you for your response. It sounds like a very exciting project, and I will be eager to see how it all comes-out.
I enjoyed those old Gekko commercials with the Caveman, so a Caveman Camper sound great to me.
Thanks, Eagle5
Caveman
