once upon a time in a land far far away....
actually Milwaukie, Oregon. I had no idea my path would cross with a forum community of RVers. I have been part of a few other hobby forums (RC toys, Light-sabers, etc.) in the past, but it wasn't until more recently that my wife and I thought about utilizing an RV in the transition from city to country living.
As I write this now, my wife, oldest son and oldest daughter are checking out our 2016 MW 31K. My other three children are sleeping which gives the others some quieter "grown-up" time.
We just drove it home today after a private purchase. Having never driven a large vehicle like that before, the traffic coming home from Hillsboro through Portland to Milwaukie was suprisingly smooth. I was holding my breath on a few turns in the city...and the rain didn't help either. The flow of water off of the top onto the front windshield made me thankful we didn't have a front window up there in the sleeping area above the driver. Anywho, we made it home and parked it on the street by our house. Tomorrow we will secure a leased spot as we don't have room here at our current house.
We are super thankful to have the opportunity to spend time together while all my children age 2.5-13 are still under our roof. We are making steps towards a wintery NE Oregon residence adventure.
I will be seeking general Nooby noob noob-type things and info/advise regarding the climate in the Wallowa area.
