So in our Journey we have two gray tanks. One for he kitchen and one for the bathroom. I started o get water in my water control compartment. I finally found it was coming from he bathroom gray tank. It was seeping from the seem on the very top of the right side of the compartment. The issue was it isn't hurting anything like plywood etc I pulled off my white panel that the pump switch, light switch and the hook up for flushing the black tank. Thinking I could see better and gain access...no such luck?

So I pulled he panels from under he bathroom sink, inspection cover under shower and the bottom panel in the storage box under he bedroom drivers side window. No such luck again in seeing where he leak was. I can see the gray ank in the electrical bay with the transfer switch etc. However can not see he end of the tank no even from under he coach. One would think there would be a access panel ???

So I leave for Sturgis SD and decided to put a small drain hole in the plumbing bay. As long as the tank is either empty or is on full hook up I'm ok. Anyone have any insight on how to find the drain side of hat gray tank I am all ears

Bump anyone ever had to get at the gray tank that is towards the rear of the water compartment. The gray water pipe comes in the compartment high on the rt side of the compartment. It leaks right at the wall and the pipe coming into the compartment. I can not find a access point to the tank? Should be under the shower between the shower door and the bathroom sink cabinet? Pulled draws out, inspection panel under shower and couldn't real find it under the coach?

So now do you still suspect the tank is leaking or that pipe?? Is this leak continual or only when the tank is at some level between ½ and full?
If the pipe is the actual source, a strip of Flexseal tape is a semi-permanent patch.

Its wen the tank is a certain level it starts to leak. So maybe with in the first 4-6' of pipe closest or at the wall of the compartment coming in the back wall. I runs right down the wall o the compartment? I put a small drain hole in the compartment so it just runs out

That sounds like the factory used a rubber connector or similar setup to connect that pipe to the tank flange. Is there room around that pipe to insert an inspection camera probe?

The problem is finding access to the bathroom tank. The drain pipe comes in up in the left upper corner as you look at the compartment. I looked under the shower and bathroom cabinet but cant see the tank. You also cant see it from under the coach ?? I have no ida on how to gain access to it

Sorry was traveling and was out in Az for a month. I'm not sure because the tank access has not been found yet. You cant see it from under the coach. I pulled the draws out in the bathroom, access door on the shower bottom and the storage box on that side and nothing. So I may tackle it tomorrow since were back home and its in the 40's. At this point all I can see is where the pipe comes in my water compartment is where it runs down the back wall. This is when the valve is closed and what builds up behind the gate valve when closed

any update?

I have I believe the same issue on my 2008 39z; water leak on the right side of the wet bay. Seems to be when the kitchen sink drains. Do you have any update?

Sorry Ray for the long delay. Actually its leaking where the pipe comes into the lower cabinet. It only leaks if the tank has water in it and the valve is shut. So the pipe fells up and it starts to dribble in by the pipe coming into the container . Funny thing is I pulled a part the cabinet, shower and can not get at this tank

From the Winnebago site, there is a plumbing pdf:https://www.winnebago.com/Files/Files/Winnebago/Resources/Diagram/2008/08_p39z_plumb.pdf

I suspect one or more of the mess of couplings that ride along the side of the black tank and drop into the rear gray tank drain--however, it seems to me that the leak is higher, and right at the top of the corner edge of the wet bay.

I would have to agree with you. What I need is to find how to gain access to that tank where it goes through the upper rt corner of the wet bay. It just dribbles in when the gate valve is closed and there is still gray water to fill the pipe. It probably would be a easy fix if I can gain access. I have to look a little better maybe there is a cover underneath that will come off. Like I said I pulled the draws out of the vanity and the lower shower access draw out and didnt see it

Got it!

The coupling was loose, pretty easy fix. The pipes has worked their way loose(thanks east saint louis). Access by looking up from the rear wet bay wall. The coupling was not tight at all.

Well do to illness and business I have not ben able to tackle this issue. It does sound like a coupler came loose. However like I said it comes through the wall into the wet bay. You can not see where the pipe goes after it goes through the wet bay wall. I've pulled the vanity draws out and the inspection cover under the show. No luck, I will have to crawl under the unit again and see if I can see anything. Leaving for Az soon too

Well The problem with that is then it may leak onto the floor or somewhere it can do damage. The leak is right at the bay wall RT/upper corner and the pipe. I have looked and looked a while ago. Pulled the bathroom draws to try and gain access, pulled the shower access panel and even the storage area under the window in the bathroom. Cant find the tank. I agree I think its a rubber coupler maybe. Its been cold and with only having one lung after my heart surgeon F'd up. Its not as easy for me to be crawling in the coach. I believe one of my technicians crawled under it and couldnt even see the tank

Ok so I finally got time to look at the gray water issue. My son and I found that the pipe coming from the sink holding tank is leaking at about the first elbow area coming into the wet bay. We pulled draws out, the shower access panel, the bedroom bench under the window. We could not find any access panel anywhere close to location of the pipe. So we could not get the pipe to break free to try and reglue it. So since there is no access point. We found to flat plastic panel under the coach in about the right area. Tomorrow, we plan on cutting a access panel so we can get at the pipe. Pretty ****** of Wimmebago to give you any access to thois pipe. I'll keep everyone up to date
