Gray Tank Capacity After Full Reading on 2018 Micro Minnie

Hello all. After learning everything that can go right or wrong with an R-Pod over ten years, we sold it as a teaching tool for a younger person and bought this 2018 Micro Minnie from an older person as our new teaching tool.

Right now, we have a full grey water tank just registering FULL, with only 12 hours to go before dumping and traveling on.

How much headroom do we have on the Micro Minnie for graywater once the indicator hits FULL?

Hi Bill,
I would guess about 10%. If the water starts to back-up in the shower drain, then your tank is really full.

Thanks. We pulled three or four gallons from the gray and dumped it in the toilet, raising and lowering the two status lights together to 2/3rds each. Decamp tomorrow!

Depending on your ability to get the RV truly level full can be really, really full or just almost full. You’ll know when the water in the shower backs up into the shower pan.

Lots of folks update their tank level system to something more exact than 1/3, 2/3, Full. SeeLevel brand tank sensors are quite popular.

A different way to learn more about the RV and tanks may work, but it depends on each RV and how it is fit together.
Try looking in the compartments and spaces where you might be able to see the tank and the sensors stuck to the sides. I think of the tanks as being something that we can often see through enough to check the level inside. If you can also spot the wiring and sensors, you can see why it is not going to be exact on any reading when we only get 1/3, 2/3, and full! But looking at the top and finding it has a curve in the top edge can tell you more about how much capacity you might have left when the reading says it is full. If the sensor is not fully at the top, it will give you a full reading when you still have that space above empty!
But when the shower starts filling , that is a sure sign!
