Hello! We are recently semi-retired (thanks to a COVID layoff), and decided to purchase a 20 year-old Adventurer. The Love of My Life wants to gut it and renovate. As I have for the past 51 years (come next Saturday), I agreed. Here goes another adventure. We'll be asking a lot of questions from here in McMinnville OR,as we are new to this community. Fortunately, she is the artist and I am but the humble carpenter and furniture maker. Hopefully that gives us a leg up.

Hi and Welcome!

That sounds like a fun project. I might mention to you that for tasks that seem too daunting that you are only 70 miles north of Junction City, OR and there are a number of RV repair and renovation shops in that town.

Junction City was at one time the home of Country Coach motor homes. They closed down after the 2008 recession. This left a lot of RV factory employees without jobs and a number of them opened lucrative businesses servicing motorhomes and renovating them.

Winnebago purchased all the assets of Country Coach and then vacillated back and forth about what to do with it. In 2018 they decided to move production of all diesel motorhomes to the old CC factory. And then in 2020 decided it was not a good idea - after spending about $50 million dollars - and moved everything back to Iowa.

The end result is a large talent pool of Motorhome workers is just over an hour south of you in McMinnville.
