For those of you who have not visited Kevin Caudill's YouTube Channel, you're missing an excellent resource. There are very few things that Kevin has not covered (IN DEPTH) on his page. This particular video is LONG, but if you want to get your DASH AC working... it is a "must-see". I completed this DIY project last fall, and the results are truly impressive. We have COLD AC AIR blowing out of our Dash, and with much more force on the HI setting.

While most of his videos focus primarily on W22 and W24 Class A Workhorses, his videos also cover other models, and most of his videos are easy to apply to other makes and models of RVs.

EXAMPLE
His videos on HWH Jacks and slides are very informative. My wife and I just replaced the slide-out nylon pads for both rails on my big Living Room slide-out after watching his video on the subject. If we can do it (We are both 72 years old), then you can too!

Here is the Dash AC Link

Here is Kevin's FB Page. I find it to be one of the best RV resources on the web.
Kevin shares his knowledge effectively. If you're close to his place in Kentucky and have a big RV problem... he's your guy.

Kevin is my hero and has become a good friend. I addressed my air conditioning problems using his videos and just had the occasion to drive it in 100° temperatures. Insulating the Plenum and tightening all the connections and putting the proper amount of Freon in has made a big difference. I highly recommend all of his videos. I own a workhorse W 16 and almost all of his videos apply equally to our chassis.

Fantastic. I found that my plenum/box was actually being held on by only 3 of the 5 screws. Silly design. I was able to improve this and now the box fits snugly to the firewall and is nicely sealed. Thanks to Kevin!

I added the extra bolt (with a slightly ground-down head) with the ground-down Fender Washer. This modification is essential since there is only a small area to drill the hole and keep everything in the air plenum. I added a stainless steel bracket as a stiffener to bridge from the existing bolt to the new bolt to reduce flex on the thin firewall sheet metal. It was a poor choice to use such thin steel at the factory.
