A member reported that their 2023 Forza's Cummins 6000 watt generator showed 120V on both legs at the multiplex panel but would not power the coach, even after checking accessible circuit breakers. Another member suggested the automatic transfer switch, noting that the generator usually has priority, and the original poster later confirmed the ATS relay was not always engaging but began working again after being exercised several times.

The apparent fault was the ATS relay intermittently failing to engage, with the member later suspecting a weak relay winding after hearing it chatter before locking in.
One member noted ATS damage can happen when switching power sources with air conditioners or other heavy loads running, which can arc or weld contacts.
A practical follow-up mentioned was to disconnect power, inspect the ATS, and re-torque connection screws because vibration can loosen them over time.
The member plans to replace the relay as a precaution while also addressing other warranty-related issues on the newly purchased coach.
Bottom line: The issue appears to have been an intermittent automatic transfer switch relay, and the immediate problem was temporarily resolved, though a permanent fix had not yet been completed.
I have a 2023 Forza with the Cummins diesel 6000 watt generator. On the multiplex panel it shows 120 v on both legs, but will not power up the coach. I have checked all CB's that I can find with no joy.
Is the ATS functioning properly? Usually the ATS has the genset as priority.
Hopefully the service manual for your genset is here since I don't know the model#: ONAN PDF MANUAL Links
I found the ATS relay was not always engaging. After exercising it multiple times it works good now. Not sure if the initial issue was a protection circuit that won't allow the relay to activate or not. But right now I am a happy camper! Ray, thanks for your help.
The most common ATS problem is caused by switching power sources while the air conditioner and other large-draw appliances are running. It can cause the ATS contacts to arc and weld themselves to that one position.
I"m glad you got the ATS working.
It would be a good idea to disconnect all power sources from the ATS, open the cover and re-torque all holding screws. These rolling earthquakes are great about loosening electrical contact screws.
Good idea. We owned a Foretravel for over 20 years and put over 100K miles on it so I know what you are talking about. This Forza is a brand new motorhome, even though it is a 2023 model. We purchased in in December of 2025 after it got lost in inventory and they knocked it down to half price. So, we are going through the warranty issues of a new coach at this time. I think the relay has a weak winding as one time I tested it, it chattered before locking down. I will replace it as a precaution. Again thanks for your help.
